قراقع: تحرك دولي للضغط على إسرائيل لتلبية مطالب الأسرى - International action to put pressure on Israel to meet the demands of the prisoners

التقى وزير شؤون الأسرى والمحررين عيسى قراقع مع القنصل العام البريطاني "سير فينست فين" في مقر المجلس التشريعي في بيت لحم، في إطار تواصل الجهود من اجل إنقاذ حياة الأسرى الفلسطينيين المضربين عن الطعام والضغط على إسرائيل للاستجابة لمطالبهم.

وأشار قراقع ان القنصل البريطاني أبدى تفهماً واضحاً لمطالب المعتقلين وقلق شديد على حياة الأسرى الإداريين الذين يخوضون إضرابا منذ 75 يوماً وأوضاعهم الصحية خطيرة للغاية، وان هناك اتصالات من الحكومة البريطانية لإيجاد حل سريع لقضية الأسرى المضربين.

وشرح قراقع للقنصل البريطاني خطورة الأوضاع التي يمر بها الأسرى، وان الزمن بدأ يسير بشكل عكسي ولغير صالح الأسرى في ظل تدهور وضعهم الصحي وان هناك مسؤولية دولية وسياسية لمنع أي كارثة قد تحدث لأي أسير فلسطيني، وان اللامبالاة والاستهتار الإسرائيلي يعبر عن مخطط إسرائيلي لارتكاب جريمة بحق الأسرى.

وقال قراقع انه في الأيام الماضية الأخيرة تبذل جهود مكثفة من اجل إيجاد حلول لقضايا الأسرى واتصالات وتحركات واسعة للضغط على الجانب الإسرائيلي للاستجابة لمطالب الأسرى.

وأشار ان الرئيس أبو مازن يتابع شخصياً قضية الأسرى ويبدي قلقه على حياتهم وصحتهم، معتبراً قراقع ان قضية الأسرى وإضرابهم أصبحت الآن قضية دولية وهناك مسؤوليات دولية وإنسانية تجاههم.

وأوضح ان إجماع دولي يدين إسرائيل على أعمالها وممارساتها التعسفية بحق الأسرى وانتهاكها لحقوقهم ومخالفتها لقواعد وأحكام القانون الدولي الإنساني.

Met with the Minister of Prisoners' Affairs Issa Qaraqe with the British Consul-General "Sir Vincent Finn" at the Legislative Council in Bethlehem, as part of continuing efforts to save the lives of Palestinian prisoners on hunger strike and put pressure on Israel to respond to their demands.

He pointed out that the British Consul Qaraqe showed a clear understanding of the demands of the detainees and serious concern on the lives of prisoners of administrators who are engaged in a strike for 75 days and their health is very serious, and that there are contacts from the British government to find a quick solution to the issue of prisoners on strike.

He explained Qaraqe Consul British seriousness of the situation experienced by the prisoners, and that time began moving in reverse and invalid prisoners in light of the deterioration of their health status and that there is an international responsibility and political will to prevent a disaster may occur for any Palestinian prisoners, and that indifference and disdain for Israel reflects the Israeli plan to commit a crime against prisoners.

Qaraqe said that in the last few days is making intensive efforts to find solutions to the issues of prisoners and communications and large movements to put pressure on the Israeli side to respond to the demands of the prisoners.

He noted that President Abu Mazen personally follow up the issue of prisoners and show concern for their lives and their health, considering Qaraqe that the issue of prisoners and their strike has now become an international issue and there are international and humanitarian responsibilities towards them.

He explained that the international consensus condemning Israel for its actions and arbitrary practices against the prisoners and violation of their rights and violating the rules and provisions of international humanitarian law.
