قال مدير دائرة الإحصاء بوزارة الأسرى والمحررين الفلسطينيين عبد الناصر فروانة ،ان أكثر من 800 ألف حالة اعتقال سُجلت منذ العام 1948، طالت كافة شرائح وفئات المجتمع الفلسطيني بينها الاطفال.

وأضاف في تقرير احصائي وزع على الصحفيين اليوم السبت ان قوات الاحتلال الإسرائيلي انتهجت الاعتقالات سياسة واعتمدتها منهجاً وسلوكاً يومياً ثابتا كوسيلة لإذلال الفلسطينيين والانتقام منهم وإلحاق الأذى الجسدي والنفسي بهم وبأسرهم، واستخدم بعضهم في كثير من الأحيان دروعاً بشرية وتمّ إعدام الكثيرين منهم بشكل فردي وجماعي وبطريقة مباشرة وغير مباشرة.

كما اعتقلت قوات الاحتلال أمهات وآباء وزوجات وأشقاء للمساومة والابتزاز والضغط وهناك من تكرر اعتقالهم مرات عدة.

واعتبر مدير الإحصاء الفلسطيني أن الفترة الممتدة من نكبة الشعب الفلسطيني سنة 1948 وحتى استكمال الاحتلال الإسرائيلي سنة 1967 ، كانت الأكثر فظاعةً وإجراماً بحق الأسرى والمعتقلين الفلسطينيين والعرب كونها اتسمت باعتقالات عشوائية واحتجاز جماعي في معتقلات مؤقتة أعدت وأقيمت خصيصاً لذلك في القرى العربية التي تم طرد السكان منها واحتلالها .

وبين أن تلك المرحلة اعتمدت على التعذيب الجسدي ، وشكَّل الإعدام الفردي والجماعي المباشر للأسرى والمعتقلين ظاهرة هي أخطر ما اتصفت به تلك الفترة.

ودعا مدير دائرة الإحصاء كافة المؤسسات الحقوقية والإنسانية ومراكز الدراسات والتوثيق ووسائل الإعلام المختلفة إلى العمل الجاد والحثيث من أجل توثيق تجربة الاعتقال بكافة مراحلها وأشكالها ، وما صاحبها من انتهاكات وجرائم قتل.
